New York Fashion Week ss16

Todos piensan que ir a algún FW es glamour y diversión, en ciertos momentos sí, pero para mi es como ir a la escuela, cada desfile es una clase diferente, con materias muy distintas entre unas y otras, aprendo mucho cada vez que voy a algún desfile, mis ojos se llenan de muchísima información que a veces tardo un poco en asimilarla. Esta ocasión tuve la oportunidad de asistir a muchos desfiles y ver muchas propuestas, muchas me gustaron y algunas no tanto.

Realmente me sentia atendiendo clases ya que tenia un horario el cual respetar entre Fashion Week y mi trabajo, así que tenia que ingeniármelas para clonarme y poder cumplir al 100 mis compromisos.

Everybody thinks that going to a FW is all fun and games and, glamour, sometimes it can be, but for me it's like going to school, each runway show is a different class, with extremely different subjects between one and the other, I learn a lot every time I go to a runway show, my eyes fill themselves with so much information and sometimes it takes a while to digest it. This time I to attend many shows and see many concepts, some of which I liked a lot and, some of which I didn't like at all.

I honestly felt like assisting a classroom since I had to adhere to a schedule between my work and Fashion Week so I had to figure out how to make clones of myself and be able to attend my commitments 100%.

El desfile de Betsey Johnson fue supér divertido, celebramos junto a ella 50 años en la industria, el show fue espectacular y para ser honesto vi varias piezas que me gustaron mucho.

The Betsey Johnson's show was super funny, we celebrated with her 50 years in the industry, the show was spectacular, and to be honest I saw many pieces that I really I liked.

Sin duda alguna uno de mis shows favoritos, cortes elegantes y con terminados en flecos o con texturas "descosidas" y colores planos, mi parte más favorita fue el hecho que en sentados en el front row habían dos músicos tocando percusiones africanas.

Without a doubt one of my favorite shows, elegant cuts ending in fringes or torn fabrics, primary colors, my favorite part was that there were percussion players performing what sounded like african music in the front row.

Pola Hernandez es una diseñadora mexicana establecida en Brooklyn, su nueva colección me gusto mucho, con cortes geométricos y lineas limpias.

Paola Hernandez is a Mexican designer established in Brooklyn, I really like her new collection a lot, with geometrics cuts, and clean lines. 

La propuesta de Vivienne Hu fue ultra femenina, colores claros y telas finas, las modelos caminaban haciendo volar las telas de sus vestidos, este conjunto de short y blazer fue uno de mi look favorito.

The concept of Vivienne Hu was very feminine, light colors and fine fabrics, the models walked making the dresses fly, this was my favorite look.
