RECAP: NEW YORK FASHION WEEK SS17

Finalmente puedo sentarme a contarles toda mi locura durante #NYFW y realmente fue una locura, habian dias donde tenia que estar en tres sitios diferentes al mismo tiempo, sabemos que eso es imposible, pero se hace lo que se puede para lograrlo! 

Sí no sabias, los shows en New York son por todos lados, claro que existen dos sedes donde suceden la mayoria de los shows, una en midtown y la otra es downtown, pero muchos diseñadores presentan sus colecciones en otros sitios, asi que practicamente te pasas corriendo por toda la ciudad para lograr llegar a tiempo, claro que el trafico no esta de tu lado, ni el metro, me perdí tres shows por llegar "tarde" pero realmente necesito aprender a teletransportarme por que es imposible atravezar la ciudad en menos de 15 minutos.

Finally, I can sit down to tell you all about #NYFW madness and it really was madness, on some days I had to be in three different places at once, we know that's impossible, but you have to do what you can to make it happen.

If you didn't know, shows in New York are everywhere, of course, there are two main buildings where most shows happen, one in midtown and the other in downtown, but many designers present their collections in other places, so you end up running around the whole city to be able to get there in time, of course, traffic is never on your side, neither are the subways, I didn't make it to three shoes for being "late" but I guess I really need to learn to teleport because it's impossible to cross the city in less than 15 minutes.

El show de A Détacher es uno de mis favorito súper romantico y con un aire super bohemio, me encanto la paleta de color y el beauty fue uno de mis favoritos, viva el makeup no makeup!

A Détacher's show was one of my favorite, so romantic and very boho, I loved the colors and the mixed textures, the beauty was perfect, who doesn't love the "No make up makeup"

 

Los chicos de REDKEN me llevaron a cubir el backstage de BAJA EAST, personalmente soy fan del trabajo de Jhon y de Scoot dentro de la marca, pero hablando del backstage me encanto el cabello sumamente rockero y el maquillaje de los ojos esta sumamente cool.

This season was my first time covering backstage, thank you to REDKEN for inviting me to this amazing event in their venue, I love the rocker vibes with the hair, and of course the dark eyes are everything.

Control Sector es una marca de ropa deportiva que me gusta mucho, la pasarela fue muy cool por que varios insta-celebrities caminaron el runway.

Control Sector is a really cool street / Sports wear brand, very monochromatic and cool, the show was really cool with some insta-celebrities walking the runway.

Esta pasarela fue super divertida con musica y baile de la decada de los 70s.

Wow! this show was really fun, with amazing 70s music and so much disco vibes, at the end one of the models walked the runway dancing disco music.

 

El día de la presentacion de Jerome, estaba haciendo demaciado calor, yo me estaba derritiendo, pero al ver la coleccion que tenia onda playera con las conchitas y los sombreros me refresque un poco solo de imaginarme a mi tomanto una piña colada y usando ese kimono blanco con las flores, es mi pieza favorita, lo quiero!!!

The day of Jerome's presentation was so hot, I was literally melted, but watching the collection makes me feel more refreshed, with the beach situation going on, my favorite pieces is that with kimono with the flowers, I need it!!!

Ustedes si realmente me conosen, saben que Jeremy Scott es uno de mis diseñadores favoritos, despues de querer ir a su presentacion, por fin fui invitado, que emocion cuando abrí un email y sí, era la invitacion con mi nombre y con mi numero de asiento. Creo que esta coleccion nunca la olvidaré, el simpre hecho que es inspirada en New York hace que signifique mucho para mi. 

Come on! If you guys know me, you guys know that this is a dream come true, Jeremy Scott is one of my favorite designers from like forever, the show was pretty cool, I loved the collection with a strong New Yorker touch, I will never forget this collection! So thankful to be here and working hard to make my dreams come true.

La coleccion de Yuna Yang siempre es super elegante y chic, pero esta vez con un toque divertido y colorido, o sea miren este lugar tan lindo y romantico, sin duda la colección y el lugar se complementarón al cien.

Yuna yang's show is always so elegance and chic, I mean, the venue is so pretty, and of course the collection was like that, very chic and very elegance but with a little drop of fun and color.

Agatha tubo una pequeña fiesta para cer su nuesva coleccion, me acuerdo que desde niño veia las colecciones de Agatha desde mi computadora, su ropa llena de color y la fantasia donde Agatha vive me hipnotisa, me hace sentir feliz y siempre me traslada a ese mundo, muy lindo conocer finalmente a Agatha. Oh! y la coleccion es sumamente ella!

Agatha hosted a little party to show her new collection, I always watch Agatha's collection online, all the colors and the fantasy where she lives hypnotize me, makes me feel happy and takes me to her world, so happy to meet finally meet her. oh! about the collection, it's very Agatha!

I am obsessed with the golden eyebrows, the hair is really cool too, I know for some people the clothes is more important, but for me is literally everything, from the Music, the runway choreography, the set design, to the hair and makeup, I think all that can make a whole experience. 

Este show secedio el primer dia de fashion week, esa mañana desperte a las 6:00am, ese dia mi outfit era practicamente una pijama, el show empezo a las 9:30 las modelos empezaron a salir y para mi sorpresa la coleccion era casi una fiesta de pijamas, solo que todo era más bonito, la coleccion me encantó, Quiero ese jumpsuit!!!

This was my first show, day number one, that morning I woke up at 6:00am to get ready, the funny thing was that I was wearing this[ click here to see ] so, I was almost wearing pajamas, the show started at 9:30am and the models started to walk in, the collection was a pajamas party! a beautiful pajama party and, I was totally in the mood, lol ... I need the jumpsuit!

 

Me encantaron los mensajes escondidos entre costuras que Runa Ray creo para su coleccion primavera verano 2017, y el cierre con el EvoLOVE fue perfect!

I love the little quotes that Runa Ray, hidden in her new spring summer collection for 2017.

La coleccion de Tadashi esta inspirada en el arca de Noe, asi que pudimos ver  todos los animales tomando como su jungla algunos de los vestidos o sacos, de verdad una coleccion hermosa con detalles bordados super lindos.

The inspiration of Tadashi's was Noe's arch, so we can see animals that take dresses as they jungles, so a beautiful embroidered work with little animals, such a cute touch.

Es la tercera ocación que estoy invitado a la presentacion de Vivienne Hu, la verdad est vez me sorprendio con una coleccion más cool, y no con diseños "Clasicos" que realmente pedian ser reinventados, y para mi sorpresa esta coleccion fue bastante "arriesgada" jugando con formas y color.

Me gusta ver como los diseñadores creceen y maduran temporada tras temporada, bien hecho!

This is the third season that I'm invited to Vivienne Hu's show, Honestly this collection is very cool, I like to see how the designers grow and take a risk season over season.

Estos son solo algunos shows de todos a los que fui, en total reciví 24 invitaciones a shows, ya se, son muchisimos, me hace muy feliz ver que todo el trabajo que le estoy metiendo al blog por fin esta dando resultados, y que me estoy abriendo lugar en esta industria que me vuelve loco.

No dejen de creer en ustedes mismo, y nunca tengan miedo de ser, vestir o decir cualquiercosa que tengas en mente.

This is just a few of the shows that I saw, in totally this season I got 24 invitations for shows, I know that's crazy, makes me really happy to see that all the work in this blog is finally "Paying off" and I'm making my own career in this crazy, fantastic industry.

So, believe in yourself and never be afraid to be, wear, or say whatever you need...
